Tony Nobuyuki Partner
Tony Nobuyuki has been working in the real estate industry since 1996. As a Partner at Kearny, Mr. Nobuyuki is responsible for sourcing new acquisitions as well as the development and asset management of the firm's existing portfolio.
Since rejoining the firm in 2005, Mr. Nobuyuki has been involved in a variety of acquisitions and initiatives. Most recently, he was involved in the formation of the PPF Kearny Industrial Fund, a joint venture between Kearny and the multibillion dollar Prime Property Fund targeting the acquisition of industrial properties throughout southern California. He also played a key role in the acquisition and redevelopment of the former 700,000 sf, Nissan North America corporate headquarters facility.
Prior to joining Kearny, Mr. Nobuyuki worked for Blackstone Real Estate Advisors in New York where he was involved in analyzing Blackstone's real estate investments in all types of properties with a geographic focus on the southern California market. Most notably, he was involved in Blackstone's acquisition of Chicago-based Town and Country Homes, which at consummation was the largest acquisition of a private homebuilder in the US and Blackstone's largest residential investment. Previously, Mr. Nobuyuki worked for the Morgan Stanley Real Estate Fund in Los Angeles, where he began his real estate investing career in 1999 and was involved in the acquisition and development of office, industrial, and multifamily properties. During the late 1990s, Mr. Nobuyuki worked as an Underwriter in the CMBS group at Nomura Capital and an Associate Consultant in the Real Estate group at Price Waterhouse. During his career, Mr. Nobuyuki has been involved in over $1 billion of real estate transactions. Mr. Nobuyuki received a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Real Estate Development and Management from the University of Southern California and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
